Termite Treatment

The startling discovery that your home or place of business is infested with damaging termites can be an extremely stressful experience. If termite infestations are left untreated, termites can cause a significant amount of costly damage to your home or business. These insects cause damage quickly and quietly to your home or business from the inside out. Quick and professional termite services are critical if you suspect a termite infestation in order to ensure that your home or business is protected. Arizona Termite Control provides a free in-home inspection in order to assess the totality of your termite infestation. Professionals across the field of termite treatment agree that professional termite services are recommended compared to do-it-yourself methods for a variety of reasons. Termite infestations are frequently complicated, and require professional intervention in order to ensure that your home or business is protected. If the entirety of the termite infestation is not treated, these termites can continue to breed, consequently allowing these termites to continue to cause damage to your home or business. The professionals at Arizona Termite Control are experienced at quickly and efficiently locating termite infestations, and are skilled in a multitude of treatment services designed to ensure that the termite infestation is eliminated from your home or business.

Once termites are identified and located, the professionals at Arizona Termite Control will completely eliminate damaging termites. There are two primary methods used to treat termite infestations including liquid pesticides and tenting fumigation The two types of termite treatments used by Arizona Termite Control include liquid pesticides and tenting fumigation. Liquid pesticide treatment is used most commonly, as this method is much less invasive than tenting fumigation, as it allows for minimal interruption to your home or business. When using liquid pesticides you will not need to remove items such as plants and foods, and there is no special tree trimming required. The liquid pesticide treatment method involves spreading liquid pesticide around the perimeter of your home or building, creating an invisible barrier for termites. This pesticide solution is designed to seep into every available crack in your home or business, killing termites on contact.  Liquid pesticide solution can also be used on other parts of your home or business such as wood posts and fences where termites may also attack. The final step in the liquid pesticide treatment option is a residual formula, which is placed at key entry points in your home or business designed to prevent termites from returning.

Fumigation tenting is a second professional termite option that can also be used in the termite extermination process. This method of termite extermination involves completely enclosing the infested building in a rubber tent, causing a tight seal around the building. Your home or business would then need to be evacuated and left for around a week in order for the chemicals to have an opportunity to permeate into the wood, and completely eliminate termite populations.  Due to the complexity of the chemicals involved in the tenting fumigation process, tenting fumigation can only be completed by a licensed professional exterminator.

There are three main types of termites that may potentially be infesting your home or business depending on your geographic location. Dry wood termites, subterranean termites, and damp wood termites are the three most popular types of termites in the United States. Dry wood termites primarily live in the tropics and do not thrive in temperate climates. Dry wood termites primarily live in the western portion of the United States, and feast on damp and wet wood caused from flooding and seasonal monsoon storms. Subterranean termites are extremely common, and are known to have unique reproductive capabilities, making them extremely difficult to locate and completely eradicate. The type of termite infesting your home or business can be identified by the termite professionals at Arizona Termite Control during one of our Free Termite Inspections.
